Surrounded by a dense vegetation of olive groves, pine, cypress and plane trees, Nymfes waterfalls emerge. According to the legend, benevolent fairies (Nymphes) used to live there. In ancient times the village was called Fairyvillage and then it was renamed Nymfes. Rushing waters fall from a height of 10 meters into a ravine. A visit to the Nymfes waterfalls will impress you. The best time to see them is during spring or after a rainfall, where as they may appear rather dry during the hottest summer days. To reach the waterfalls you must cross the village, turn at the main square and follow a picturesque dirt road of 1,5 km into the forest.
